Under the CCPA/CPRA and equivalent US state statutes you may direct a business to stop selling or sharing your personal information for targeted advertising. Here is what that means on this site, and how to do it.

The Practice in Question

To be precise about what is and is not happening: Eventwoven does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, where advertising is displayed on eventwoven.com, advertising identifiers may be shared with ad partners, and state law may classify that as a ‘sale’ or as ‘sharing’. We therefore make the opt-out available rather than rely on a narrow reading.

No prior relationship with Eventwoven is needed — the right belongs to every visitor to eventwoven.com.

What Changes

Once opted out, we stop sharing advertising identifiers with ad partners. Advertising itself may continue in generic form. There is no penalty of any kind: the site is not degraded, restricted, or priced differently for readers who opt out.

Exercising the Opt-Out

To exercise the right: enable Global Privacy Control in your browser (honoured automatically, no message needed); or refuse advertising cookies via the consent banner where shown; or send an email to hello@eventwoven.com with the subject ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. We will not ask you to create an account to do this.
